Here we are at the beginning of Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon! I hope everyone is awake and ready to go. The reading is about to begin, but first I thought I’d fill out the Opening Event Questions as posted on the main site. My answers are below, and then it’s time to start reading!
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
The big red chair, Fargo, North Dakota, United States.
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
I’m most excited for comics because I haven’t read any since the last readathon I participated in. Looking forward to a new Saga volume! (Click here for my readathon stack)
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
I don’t have a lot for snacks because of my Weight Watchers goals, but I made some lemon tarts last night so those will be delicious later on. I also got fresh sushi from the grocery store last night, and that’s always a bonus.
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I’m currently editing a book which I hope to be my first published book. It’s Young Adult with a twist of Sci-Fi. Apart from writing/reading, most of my life lately has been dedicated to health and fitness. I’m down over 70 lbs since September from doing Weight Watchers. I won’t preach it too much here, but it works!
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today?
If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I think this is round six for me. I tend to just wing it every year so nothing will really be different apart from the fact that I haven’t foolishly tried to make additional plans. It’s all about the books today! (Okay, so a bookstore is hosting an event that I might check out, but it’s still bookish!)
Happy reading, all!
