Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon Mid-Event Survey

deweymain

Hello, friends! I’ve officially made it to the halfway mark in Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon! I haven’t had to take a nap yet, but we’ll see how it goes. The eyes start getting tired around 9pm, so I’m sure I’ll break at some point.

Now, time for a mid-event survey…

1. What are you reading right now?
I am reading Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.

2. How many books have you read so far?
I have read three books so far, including one novella, one novel, and one volume of comics. I’m all about mixing it up!

3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
I’m looking forward to reading Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins. I’m also tempted to move away from my stack and reread Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. We’ll see how it goes.

4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
I took a four-hour break earlier in the day to do some produce shopping with a friend downtown at the farmer’s market, but I caught up with my goals and am back in action. My only other breaks so far were for the bathroom and making quick bites to eat.

5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
I was surprised that four hours flew by without reading (oops), and I’m also surprised how quickly a volume of comics can be read. I don’t have many other surprises with the event since I’ve done this a few times now, but I’m always amazed by the number of participants. It’s incredible!

Hope every is enjoying the readathon! Time to get back to some peculiar children.
