#15in31 Reading Challenge

Andi of Estella’s Revenge made the bold decision to read 15 books in the month of October, and so #15in31 was born. The main post can be found on her blog.

While I’ve already exceeded my goal to read 80 books this year, I’m feeling even more ambitious. November will be dedicated to National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) so I might as well get a chunk of books in before I set aside reading for the sake of writing. Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon is also going on in October, so that will help with a few books.

This list will most likely change as the month goes on, but here’s my tentative list of books for October:

1. The Death Cure by James Dashner
2. The Color Purple by Alice Walker
3. Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert
4. The Body In the Library by Agatha Christie
5. And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
6. The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
7. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
8. Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
9. The Rose Society by Marie Lu
10. The Prince and Other Writings by NiccolΓ² Machiavelli
11. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro (Reread)
12. Kafka On the Shore by Haruki Murakami
13. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
14. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
15. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan

What’s on your TBR list for October?

  1. You’ve been doing so amazing with the challenges! I like all the Agatha Christie books. I’ve been thinking I need to start reading some of them again. I haven’t read any of her boks since high school.

  2. My Oct reading focused pretty much on suspense and mysteries for RIP X .
Although my reading [+ blogging!!] has been pretty much pre-empted with our election and managing a candidate’s office . I’m on my 8th book this month – currently at 149 completed this year . Having an extra day off this weekend for our Thanksgiving today – YAY! so I’m catching up books to blog challenge lists and signing up for Dewey’s + Tanya’s #TraveltheWorldinBooksReadathon that follow right along after deweys – Oct 18th – 31st .
You’re doing well, Jenna, and #15in31 sounds a great prelude to nanowrimo – EnJoy !! πŸ™‚
