    • Thanks! I don’t always stick to my list, but I like to get a pile ready at home for choices. I’ve been known to read something not on the pile, but I prefer some kind of starting point. Either way, I’m excited for August 17!

  1. You have a lot of books to chose from. I got lost during Dewey’s read-a-thon because I picked terrible books and had to abandon them. I decided that the next time I do a read a thon, I would start the books before and decide if they were something I actually wanted to read. 🙂 I’ll have to check my calendar to see if I can join up.

  2. Looks like a pretty good list! Aristotle and Dante wasn’t the end all be all for me, but I did really enjoy certain aspects, and it’s certainly easy to read. Alternately, An Untamed State is harrowing to read, but a good one for sure. Good luck with your list, and I will be reading along side you for BoB as well 🙂

    • Woo! BoB pals! It’s going to be a great event. I read Bad Feminist for book club (loved it) and met Roxane Gay earlier this year (love her), so it’s about time I get around to reading An Untamed State.

  3. Ooh, I LOVED Ilych when I read it in senior year of high school. (I remember *some* things from high school, apparently.)

I’m gonna do what I usually do for read-a-thons and fly by the seat of my pants. 🙂 Can’t wait!

    • Um, I totally envy the people who don’t make a list in advance. I always end up reading something not on my list, and then I feel like I’ve shamed the unread books from the list for picking something else.
