#24in48 Readathon

Readathon Results:

I don’t have the page number on me, but I did get to over 1,000 pages read for #24in48. I only made it to about 14 hours of reading, but I was happy with my result considering I finished one book that I had started before the readathon (Breakfast at Tiffany’s), and I read the following books from start to finish:

1. Saga Volume 5 (Ch. 25-30) by Fiona Staples and Brian K. Vaughan
2. The Poor Clare by Elizabeth Gaskell
3. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Hark Haddon
4. A Short Autobiography by F. Scott Fitzgerald
5. Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
6. An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

I hope everyone else enjoy the readathon! Can’t wait for the next round.

Welcome to the #24in48 Readathon! This event is hosted by the lovely Rachel (previously at A Home Between Pages). How this event works is participants read for 24 hours within a 48-hour time frame. The readathon begins at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, July 11 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 12, Eastern Standard Time. Read more about this event here.

My best friend, her husband, and their son (my godson) are visiting this weekend, so my time will be broken up between spending time with them and reading. I should be able to manage 24 hours of reading, but I might “cheat” and start a couple hours early tonight. I’m reading a few short stories by Truman Capote that came with Breakfast at Tiffany’s so I’d like to finish those before starting my readathon list.

I don’t anticipate on reading everything on my list, but I like to have a little variety.

My Readathon List:
1. Saga (Ch.
6. Enduring Love by Ian McEwan
7. An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
8. Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson

bookish

I’ll mostly be updating on Twitter (@jmillwanders), but I’ll try to post on here at least once during the event.

Happy reading to all participants!

What are YOU reading this weekend?

    • I LOVED the newest Saga. So much is happening! I’ll probably reread everything before the next set comes out since it will be a while now. I only started reading it earlier this year so it’s all still pretty fresh in my mind.
