Welcome (again) to Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon! The reading has started, but I thought I would provide a little update post that I took from Andi of Estella’s Revenge. My answers are below, and then it’s back to reading!
I am reading from Fargo, North Dakota. That’s United States, friends, not Canada. (Trust me, it’s worth mentioning.)
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
It’s so hard to choose! I’m reading two of my favorite authors today, Ian McEwan and Kazuo Ishiguro. I think my “most looking forward to” read, however, belongs to Stardust by Neil Gaiman. For as much as I adore the man and talk about his brilliance, I’ll admit I’ve never actually read his work. Pretty sad, right? Well, today is the day that all changes! I had already begun reading a few pages before starting this post, and I know I won’t be disappointed.
(Find my list here.)
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
I have a cinnamon crunch bagel from Panera currently thawing that I’m very excited to eat in about an hour. I haven’t thought past that just yet. I failed at going to the store, so I don’t think snacks will be a huge part of my day. For now, coffee COFFEE COFFEE!!!
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I am a writer and proofer for a natural health company, and I am also a Lia Sophia Advisor (jewelry seller) on the side. Shameless plug: You can visit my jewelry site here. I’m also constantly “working on a novel”, but I have yet to finish one. That’s a big goal for the next year or so.
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
While this is my few Dewey’s Read-a-Thon, this isn’t my first readathon in general. I participate in readathons with The Classics Club, and I just finished #24in48. Anyway, I’m already doing something different this time around by writing up a random update post. I usually just focus on the reading, but with so many people participating in this readathon I wanted to contribute a little more on the writing side.
That’s all I have for now. You can find me on Twitter (@lostgenreader) for random updates and shenanigans. Feel free to link me to your first update post, or anything readathon.
Happy reading to all participants!
